"Huey Knew," the first single from Ab-Soul's new album DWTW, alludes to the prophecies of Black Panther founder Huey Newton. Ab-Soul recently elaborated on the the track in an interview with HNHH.

"I kinda feel like that time has come back around," he said. "The police brutality you're hearing about, the different issues that we're having with police and law enforcement. I think Huey knew. Pun intended. I think he knew this was coming. I think he was getting ready for this type of thing, then."

"That song had nothing to do with race," he continued. "Absolutely nothing to do with race. 'Even white lives matter when I black out.' And if you study Huey Newton would know that that's where he was trying to go to. He wasn't a black supremacist. The same with Malcolm. They weren't black supremacist."

G-Eazy tells us about having dinner with Jay Z, and dropping three songs at once.

We caught up with Young Gerald aka G-Eazy shortly before he unleashed a trifecta of new music on his Soundcloud. The rapper brought us up to speed on what he's been up to lately, which apparently includes hitting up a steakhouse with Hov.

"Man, I met Jay Z and was hella star struck. I had dinner with him, and it was exactly what you'd think. He's him, literally. We're at a steakhouse in Midtown eating lobster, we're talking about gangsta movies, we're talking about basketball, and he's telling a story about Suge Knight. Literally, like, is this real right now?" G-Eazy says of the one-on-one with Jay.

Apart from having dinners with one of the greatest, G-Eazy has been studio-obsessed. Obviously, since, whenever he drops something, it tends to be a three-for-one deal. "We're just sitting on so much music, and it's like, while people have to wait for the album we wanna give them something. I just like dropping three songs at a time," he says of the move.

The Bay Area native also expands on one those recent releases, "Running," where he raps about spending time in New Orleans. He tells us more about that time of his life in the video above. Take a look.

In a recent visit to HNHH offices, The Game explained how he recruited Drake for soulful Documentary 2 lead single "100." Game's initial vision for his collab with Drake was somewhat different from how it turned out...

They cut the record and then headed to Game's hometown Compton to shoot the "100" video, where it sounded like Drake was the happiest person on the entire set: "All day, man, Drake just kept saying, 'I can’t believe I’m on Black Wall Street, man! I can’t believe I’m in Compton, man. This is dope!'"

Seems like Game and Drake have a great relationship. They are neighbors, after all. "He’s the homie man," Game said. "He live down the street. We be chillin. We have pool parties and everything. Foam pits. You gotta come."
